As our workforce shifts to more work remotely, the most effective way of changing your password has changed.
  • On a web browser, go to: https://myaccount.microsoft.com/
  • Log in with your credentials (example: [email protected]) with your current network password.
  • Type your old (current) password on the first line, and a new password on the next two. Once
completed, click on the Submit button.
  • Once your password has changed it may take up to 30 minutes to sync to our local servers, you will automatically be prompted to update your password in Outlook, Teams, etc.

(IF YOU ARE REMOTE): If you are working remotely when you change your password this way you will need to sync your password to your laptop.
  • Log into cisco vpn with your new password
  • Lock your computer using Win key + l or through the windows menu
  • Log back into your account using your new password
  • depending on what files you access on the network you may also need to reboot your computer afterwards to avoid permission issues. We suggest doing this.

    Alternative way to change password:
(if remote please make sure you are connected to vpn)
  • Press Ctrl+alt+del
  • Click Change password
  • Follow the prompts
  • Once your password has changed it may take up to an hour or so to sync up to Microsoft, once it does you'll be prompted for your new password in Outlook, Teams, etc.

Keep in Mind A valid password must be at least 12 characters long, and contain
three of the four:
• UPPERCASE
• Lowercase
• numbers 1234567890
• special characters !@#$%^&*()_+{}?
Your network password is used to log into your machine, for email
(Outlook), Teams, and OneDrive. Windows may ask you to lock your
machine to type your new password in to verify.
